Workshop Location and Schedule

We are looking forward to seeing you at our workshop in Seoul on April 18 taking place in Room 320 (located at the South side of the 3rd floor). It will be a fast paced day, where we are hoping to generate a broad set of ideas and strategies. Apart from the initial introductions, we will be working offline and without computers. There is no need to bring a laptop, unless of course you want to use it for references or quick web searches during the workshop.

We start at 9:00 a.m. with an introduction. For this, we would like to ask you to prepare a 1 minute presentation of your position paper, pecha kucha style, with a maximum of 5 slides. (Please send these slides in either PDF, Keynote, or PowerPoint format as a reply to this mail until April 13, so we can show them from one computer and avoid tech breaks.)

We will then have an interactive talk by and with our keynote speaker, ByungJun Kwon, after which we will break for lunch at noon. After lunch we will restart with three rapid fire rounds, working on concepts informed by the morning position talks and discussions, ending with presentations and discussions. In between, the coffee break in the afternoon will serve as a “tech demo with coffee” session, allowing participants to give in-depth demos of their work. The workshop will conclude at 5:00 p.m.

Position Papers Published

We have received great and inspiring position papers for our workshop, and are very much looking forward to meeting all participants in person. With the diversity of backgrounds in mind, we have worked on a schedule and compiled further ideas for the day, all of which we will share shortly. In the meantime, please have a look at the others’ position papers, which we have now published on the separate “Papers” page. There will be plenty of time at the workshop to discuss these positions, and we hope that by sharing them here, they will spark discussions that reach beyond just the one day in Seoul. Also, we will look at the workshop results and discuss how we can make them available for a larger audience.
